What we offer
The Haven Community CIC is being developed as a safe, welcoming space in Lochgelly where people can feel included, supported, and connected.
We will offer a range of community sessions and activities designed to reduce isolation, build confidence, and create positive opportunities for local people.
What you’ll find at The Haven includes a relaxed drop-in time, wellbeing and creative sessions, youth activities, and dignity-first support such as access to essential items and free period products.
Everything we do is shaped by local need — and delivered in a calm, non-judgemental way.
A warm space to sit, chat and feel welcome
Not everyone needs a service — sometimes people just need somewhere safe to go.
At The Haven, people will be able to pop in for a tea or coffee, sit with a book, meet others, or simply take a breather in a calm and friendly environment.
Kids & Families Corner
We want The Haven to feel family-friendly and accessible.
We’ll have a small kids corner with age-appropriate toys and activities so parents and carers can enjoy a coffee, meet others, and feel supported in a relaxed environment.

Wellbeing & Calm Sessions
The Haven will host a range of gentle, low-pressure sessions designed to help people relax, reconnect, and feel supported.
These sessions will be inclusive and welcoming, with a focus on building confidence, connection and community wellbeing.
Community Coffee Corner
We’re creating a relaxed coffee corner where people can sit down and feel at home.
This isn’t about being a fancy café — it’s about offering a warm, welcoming space where people can connect, reduce loneliness, and feel part of the community.
The Haven Book Nook
We’re creating a small, trust-based community library where people can browse, borrow, and enjoy books in a calm space.
We’ll also accept book donations from local residents — so if you’re having a clear-out and have books in good condition, we’d love them to go somewhere they’ll be enjoyed again.
Youth Nights & Positive Evening Activities
There is a real lack of safe, structured evening activities for young people locally.
The Haven aims to support young people by offering positive evening sessions that help reduce boredom-led anti-social behaviour and give young people somewhere safe to go.
Dignity-First Community Support
The Haven is built around a dignity-first approach.
This means we aim to support people in a way that feels respectful, non-judgemental and accessible — with no referral required.
Support may include:
-
friendly signposting
-
discreet support options
-
community connections
-
wellbeing and confidence-building opportunities

Our Online Shop Supports Our Community Work
The Haven Community is also supported by a small online shop.
Every purchase helps fund the development of the community space and supports our ability to offer activities and sessions for local people.
Free Period Products & Essential Items
The Haven Community will provide free period products and access to essential items for anyone who needs them.
This support will be offered in a discreet, dignity-first way — no questions asked — helping people feel supported during difficult times without stigma or embarrassment
